  1. I'm setting up two Mr Aqua 11.4 aquariums soon and have AC50s for them already. I'm also adding sponge filters for extra filtration. I never had a sponge filter before, but have been doing research. I like the ATI Hydro Sponge Pro Filters, but don't know which one to get. #3? Don't know if it would be too big or what. Has anyone used them on here? Which size is best? I like the Hydro over the dual sponge filter because I wouldn't have to deal with the suction cups.
  2. These products look pretty good. May buy some next month. I like how they have good ingredients.
  3. I hope they do great for me too. Can't wait to put them in the tank! I'll post them tomorrow.
  4. I got most of the stuff for the 11 gallons. Should be coming next week or after. I been thinking a lot on how I want the tanks to look. I think in one corner will be a bunch of plants and most of the tank open so I can see the shrimp better. On the left side of tank 6 or 8 mosses on SS near filter and in the right corner in the back bunch of plants. Don't know what plants yet. Maybe driftwood in middle of tank. Will have cholla wood and IALs. Also I have to add Dwarf Sag. I love this plant. Will be low light with either 10w or 13w single CFL. I got the dome lights.
  5. Ordered plants for the 2g. Hope I didn't order too much. Got: Anubias Nana (2) Needle Leaf Java Fern (2) Ludwigia Repen (3 stems) Dwarf Sag (4) Brazilian pennywort (10 nodes) Pennywort is going to be a floater. Never had Anubias or Java Fern.
  6. It does make sense to buy the 24x12 for the many things I will be doing in the tanks. Extra space is always needed. I was getting 3/4 thick plywood and I remember you mentioning OSB. I don't know anything about this stuff. Would OSB be better?
  7. I posted this at TPT and got no answers. Thought I would post it here.
  8. I'm looking at iron stands for my 11.4g tanks that I am getting soon. The stands I am considering are 20x10 or 24x12. I am putting plywood down on top and using mats under the tanks. The 11g tanks measure 18.9x11.8. Which iron stand is the best? I thought the 24x12, but if I put in the middle I would have almost three inches left on each side. The 20x10 would be better for length, but have over inch missing in width. I thought maybe getting plywood cut to 20x12. Don't know. Any ideas?
  9. Tanks on Right Side of Wall: 11.4g - For Pumpkin Neos & Malawa Brown (new home) 11.4g - For Yellow Neos & Malawa Blue (new home) 11.4g - For Red Cherries & Malawa Clear (new home) 2g - Snails ^^ I am ordering everything I need this week/next week to get these tanks up and running. Hopefully will start cycling by the end of the month. Already have everything, but plants for the 2g. I got one 11.4g and need to get the other tanks/equipment. Will post photos of what I am doing.
  10. New Plan as of (02-17-14) Future Ideas with Tanks: Have only 10 tanks! Tanks on 1960's Stereo: 18g - Neo/Malawa culls 7.5g - Selective Breeding/Mysteries 2g - Snails Tank near Stereo: 3.2g - Being Replaced with 7g or 8.6g, Shrimp/Selective Breeding, unknown Tanks on Right Side of Wall: 11.4g - For Pumpkin Neos & Malawa Brown (new home) 11.4g - For Yellow Neos & Malawa Blue (new home) 11.4g - For Red Cherries & Malawa Clear (new home) Tanks on Left Side of Wall: 11.4g - For Snowball Neos & Malawa 11.4g - For Blue Neo (no idea which Neo) 17g or 11.4g - For Unknown Shrimp/Culls, don't know This is the plan for now. My bedroom/room where I live is being turned into the shrimp room and I'm moving all my stuff into the living room. Lost another Mystery Snail so I decided never to have them again. Keeping the Mysteries in the 7.5g until they pass. Love these guys, but can't stand it no more. May keep the MTS out of shrimp tanks. Don't know. I'm replacing the 3.2g with either a 7g tank or 8.6g tank. The 3.2g is just not stable enough for me and I hate that I have to top off a lot with this tank. The new tank will be for shrimp something, lol. Decided to not have fish. I like shrimp more. I may get a 17g for keeping Neos and Malawa separate cull tanks. I do like this idea.
  11. 6-8 hours for lights. Do you have a timer for the lights?
  12. Those greens look great, Soothing. I can't wait till some are available.
  13. The only breeding I'm getting is, of course, the Malawa. It looks like the Red Cherries are taking a break.
  14. On the API test, the 7.6 PH is a dark blue. For 7.0 and 7.2, I don't see a difference. Have you gotten anything for the GH/KH yet?
