  1. Wow that rocks keep going ! [emoji173][emoji111][emoji445] Will
  2. Have you had many babies survive? I've had crs in quite hard water before too and ive seen at least a few get berried but no shrimplets ever survived for me! [emoji173][emoji111][emoji445] Will
  3. In order of priority based on past experience 1 shrimp 2 something to hold water 3 dechlorinated water 4 moss 5 light / biofilm 6 additional food 7 leaves / wood / alder cones 8 filter / circulation 9 heater / chiller 10 more tanks with all the above! [emoji173][emoji111][emoji445] Will
  4. Why is it better to remin the water all evenly first before adding to an empty tank as opposed to say adding the RO then immediately mixing the salts in the actual tank even? [emoji173] [emoji111] [emoji444] Will
  5. Hi! Looks nice! It has a stripe which is known as a skunk line/pattern. Sakura refers to how solid the colour is over the whole body. I'd say probably yes it is but need a side view pic to really say.
  6. I used seachem fertiliser tablet (in a moderate/mild way) thingies some years back and rcs didn't seem to mind whatsoever. I'd be more hesitant with caridina or other more sensitive species.
  7. Crystal red and bloody mary breed well for me together in crs water parameters. Tds 130ppm pH 6.4. Lately the bloody mary have been doing much better than the crs in fact although there's a bit of history and moving house which explains why.
  8. Doesn't PFR need to have solid leg colouration? I would have called these fire red and Sakura but maybe I'm too picky :-)
  9. Hi Ben, The yellow blue and black shrimp are likely to be cherry shrimp (neocadidina). If so then they will interbreed and many of the babies will be "wild type" which are not usually very colourful - but can still have cool patterns. As for the fish I am fairly certain it will eat at least some babies. If it is a SAE it will not be as dangerous as a loach as I understand it. If you have lots of hiding places many of them might survive and grow to be adults though. [emoji173] [emoji111] [emoji444] Will
  10. Regarding using active substrate in an external canister or other filter- it wlkld make sense to use a larger size of substrate not a fine substrate I imagine. I'm not great with water chemistry but could there be any issues arising if the power goes out and the substrate is starved of flow and oxygen and then switched back on? Or would this be the same as if it was any other kind of biomedia? [emoji173] [emoji111] [emoji444] Will
  11. Do you count large divided tanks as one tank or per colony?
  12. If 2213 doesn't cost much more I'd use that. The flow is strong but I've always just pointed the spray bar back against the glass in that case. Perhaps an even better option is to drill more holes at a different angle to the existing ones so that flow goes up to agitate tank surface and oxygenate as well as in the water directly. 13. Thanks for those links I appreciate it :-) To be more specific though; Can anyone share their experiences regarding what *extremes* they have successfully kept and bred tigers at? love n peace will
