Never mind.

I have some moss ledges in my new 5 gallon shrimp tank and I see some string algae starting. I'm pretty sure it transferred over from a ten gallon that I have fish in. Since they are suction cupped to the tank wall, can I dip them in H2O2? If so how long? If not, what do I use? Do I need to treat the tank?

I use these dimmers. The description says single color but really should say single power source.

Petsmart and Petco snails only live 1-2 weeks in their heavily medicated water. If you ask when they receive their next batch and be right there to get some, you'll get good snails. In the winter I get snails from bobstropicalplants.com and in warmer weather I get them from ebay (if they are good deals). I've also read good reviews of Aquatic Arts.

Thanks all. I am curious if moss responds to Seachem Excel to speed up growth?

I have a 2.5 gallon tank with a handful of willow moss that I would like to grow out. I have it immersed near a cold window so that the water stays cool. I'm using tap water. Some questions: Do I need to add Prime to the tap water? Do I need any macro or micro ferts? Can the water be stagnant? How often do I change the water? I need lighting. The tank dimensions are 12"L x 6"W x 8"D TIA

If the inside of the tank glass is not clean then the water can look cloudy also.

Why the secrecy. Do I have to ask all the same questions in order to shop?

Just received these PFR for my new 5 gallon tank. I have some OEBT in a small tank I will add in a couple days. This is my grow out tank. I need the shrimp to be adults before I can put some in the display tanks with fish. I got the shrimp from an ebay seller called soshrimp in case your wondering. I bought 10 awhile ago and the were great till the fish ate them, so I made this grow-out tank. They were much smaller than these.

I used API E.M. Erythromycin (antibiotic) exactly as directed and nothing in my tank was harmed. In no time at all the neo's were running around the tank like usual.
