I would wait 1 day and then add the 20ml in one dose. Is the powder dissolving well (I found it difficult to dissolve in powder form)? That’s why I used the liquid Panacur from the vet. Respectfully, Stuart Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I believe your dosages are off. When I had Hydra, I dosed 1ml/10 gallons NOT .1ml/10 gallons. Make sure it is dissolved (as best you can) before administering. I found it far easier using pre-dissolved liquid Panacur from a vet (here in Canada). JMHO. Stuart Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

A 250W heater should be more than sufficient and besides, most shrimp prefer a cooler temperature 68-75. Unless you plan on keeping Sulawesi shrimp which prefer temps in the 80-85 range. JMHO. Stuart Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The other possibility could be that these shrimp were colour fed and the pigmentation is fading due to a lack of this colour enhancer. I also know that if these were raised in natural sunlight the exoskeleton gets thicker and the shrimp appears darker. I have personally seen this with outdoor raised (darker) vs tank raised (lighter) Bloody Mary shrimp of the same bloodline. Just more food for thought. My impression of this colour shift would be a change in a lighter substrate to a darker substrate. I’ve seen this in different varieties of Neos before. JMHO Stuart Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I don't believe it is black beard. I'm under the impression that it could be cladophora. Often when someone keeps Moss balls in their tank, the algae can transfer to an adjacent surface. Amanos grow quite large and should be fine with the inhabitants you currently have. I would source larger ones and add them at night/with the lights off and you should be good to go. Respectfully, Stuart Tankful in Vancouver!
