  1. I got it about 4 months ago. It grew about a quarter inch since then, but is still smaller than my female RCS.
  2. Hey all, I was planning on breeding cherries sometime soon and wanted to know if this shrimp would devour them. Based on what I know about macros, it's behavior is nothing like them, never attacks the other shrimp (unless food is involved or it has been messed with). Although, I have noticed that it has been getting some markings that seem similar to macros, like red stripes on the antenna and claws, but then again this shrimp is only 3/4 of an inch long, not like the monster macros. Also, it ate my guppy while it was still alive, but it was sick, so I'm not sure. Thanks for any help you can give. You can see the 'claw' in the third picture.

  4. Hey all, and thanks for helping. I am going to put some leaves in my shrimp tank so they could feed off the microorganisms. What kind of leaves can I use? I live in the country so in my yard there are oak, apple, peach, elm, and pecan trees. I was also wondering if leaves from blueberry bushes would work as well. Thanks!
  5. Hi, I have a 1.8 gallon (cycled) tank, so basically a fishbowl with a filter. It has 9 water wisteria, three Marimo balls and some rocks/ a cave. I have one ghost shrimp, one cherry shrimp, and one Malaya/rainbow shrimp. I have a fantasy about breeding Red cherry shrimp and possibly selling, but I don't know if it's possible in such a tiny tank. I just have a few questions about that: 1. How many shrimp do you think I could keep in this little tank? 2. Would I have to put a sponge over the filter intake? 3. Do you think that non-local stores like Petsmart or Petco would buy the shrimp? Thanks if you can answer any of these!
  6. I know this sounds like a stupid question, and your levels seem fine, but did you cycle the tank? BTW your tank is beautiful!
  7. Went to LFS and got a mystery shrimp. Kind of blueish. He is not messing with the other shrimp at all, in fact, he's hiding. Just got to figure out what kind of shrimp he is.
  8. Thanks for helping, in advance. I have a 1.5 gallon that has a filter and air pump. Currently I have 1 ghost shrimp and 1 RCS. How many shrimp can I keep in this tank? I don't want them to get territorial. My ghost shrimp and cherry get along absolutely fine. I have 8 Water wisteria and 3 Marimo algae balls, as well as a few rocks for exploring and cleaning.
  9. Almost looks like it has a yellow saddle of some sort... I'm also a little unsure about the 'neo' theory because the store I got it from only had ghost, amano, and cherry in one tank; although sure looks like it.
  10. I was looking at this video, and these shrimp are apparently baby red cherry shrimp. This is excactly what my shrimp looked like when I got him. He has lately shed his skin, and I've realized that he is starting to develop some red markings... Do you think there is a possibility that he might be a red cherry shrimp?
  11. Here's a better picture. I've noticed that it is starting to develop some spots or something. Maybe I won't be able to tell until it's fully grown. Have any ideas?
  12. Hey! Yesterday I went to the LFS looking for a buddy for my ghost shrimp. I ended up getting the smallest shrimp there, and at the time, I guess the employee thought that it was a ghost shrimp... But now I'm not so sure... Can someone identify this shrimp?
