Just got these gorgeous beauties in. Not really green yet but probably from stress or young. Very easy to tell they're not neos. Their eyes reflect light, their bodies are similar to that of a yellow rhino shrimp but without the hunch.

blue crown carries them frequently. bought some from him once. very nice active shrimp. seems to be the only person ive seen selling them too

Are these orange cherry shrimp or just wild type?
ohmiko replied to sigurd's topic in Genetics and Selective Breeding
Wilds are just brown. Orange is a mutation. Like orange neo u can breed them if you like. -
SCR Santa and low grade scb. The low grade was just the left over straggler from when he did have scb because he doesn't sell low grade as regular
-
you'll ruin SCR and Its reaaally hard to get the right pattern for SCR and SCB. There really isnt a shortcut besides starting from getting grade b-c and starting from there to breed the color richness, but even then you'll produce tons of the cull A patterns etc that youll want to remove. Its better to just buy it from someone. Jason Lin from Blue crown located in El Monte, frequently imports them in along with SCR. I have a picture of a Low grade SCB from him. Let me find it.

oh your tds is fine then. If it was RO + Remineralizer then yes 400 is too much but otherwise thats pretty norm. definitely invest in something to increase oxygen level, and cooling system and it should be a-okay

are you using tap?

Red shrimps from chocolate line
ohmiko replied to Auratus's topic in Genetics and Selective Breeding
reds from chocolate are to be assumed bloody mary *red tissue/transparent rich red not red opaque shell* But then it can beg to differ the genetic of the chocolate could have cherry in its genetic depending on if its pure chocolate or a mutt :o) -
Hi, does anyone know the different patterns and the grading and how to look for the quality of Ghost variants? I have a source carrying orange ghost and the darker marked ghosts and I'd like to invest in a breeding pair but I'd like to make sure I know how to pick and choose the best before I invest. Here are some pictures.

That neo chart is heavily flawed with errors mostly in the blue region. A member on here is trying to work on an updated correct chart Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

TDS should be 200-300 for RO remineralized GH too high or too low can cause molting problem Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The black ones are possibly black diamond :-) tho I don't know much about black diamond Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

A lot of people wouldn't label their blue diamonds and blue dreams bc diamonds are harder to find and most lines are very unstable. So yes if you see signs of chocolate in the offsprings then it's no blue dream. Blue dream labeling is a mess because different areas in the world call them differently. Taiwan often label blue dream as blue velvet. Blue jelly is another way for blue velvet(the light blue but darker than pearl) topaz blue from what I see is more slightly lighter more ultramarine blue dream bred for that hue. It's just a mess Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Just to clarify blue dreams do NOT come from chocolates. That would be blue diamond. Blue dreams are from carbon line thus the reason blue dream has black sometimes and can throw out blue carbon, etc. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
