  1. But what if the substrate settles water ph to 7.0 just start again with different substrate?
  2. When I am looking at websites that are selling Taiwan bee shrimp some say the water perimeters are 5.5-6.2 ph for them to live well. But I can't find any articles saying how to get these sort of levels of ph when the ph of RO water I have is around 6.8 and active substrates only offer phs of down to 6.0 so how are people getting lowwer ph I can't really find anything that is a good method... I heard ph buffer solutions are a bad idea and even using peat is bad for bee shrimp so I can't figure out the best way of lowering ph to such acidic levels I think my ideal value would be 6.3ph
  3. I have one apple snail and around 5 neo wild types the tank is well cycled so the ammonia and stuff are at 0 I tested it the other day. it is well planted and there's some drift wood in there too the substrate is non active.
  4. I want to lower my ph to about 6.4 in my tank to house Taiwan bees but I am having trouble lowering the ph down from 7.6 I am adding ro water that is remineralized and at ph6.4 gh6 kh<1 and I am changing water every other day at 30% water each time and I thought this would gradually lower ph but in the 2 weeks I've been doing it there's been no ph change... my tank water is currently: gh7 ph7.6 kh2
