Thanks everyone who replied to this thread! Have been doing a couple PWC with RO water this past week and the TDS is now 170. with a GH of 5 after using the salty shrimp minerals! All of my shrimps are now healthy and never have i seen any deaths after adjusting the water parameters

ok just purchased one of those remineralizer that you recommend. Thanks for recommending it! Have you used it before? Instruction says " to reach a total hardness of about 6 GH and/or a conductance of about 300 +/- 50 uS (Microsiemens). For this purpose, an evenly full measuring spoon (about 2 g) to 10 litres of water is sufficient.Measuring spoon enclosed." Since im always changing only 25% of the tank water (2.5 gallons of it). im only going to add one full spoon of the remineralizer to the new water?

Ammonia is 0 ppm. The color was in between 0 and 5 ppm so i assume it was 2 lol. Are my water parameters good for shrimps?

Just tested the water. Nitrite is 0 ppm and Nitrate is 2 ppm. is that good?

Thanks for the detailed info! I know that the GH is too low for Neocaridinas. Any tips on how to raise the GH? i've heard that changing the GH means changing all PH and KH as well? i have not used any solution on the RO water that i just bought.

So no CONDITIONER needed for the RO water? just pour it straight to the tank? I just did the PWC with RO water and im getting a TDS of 232. Used to be 370. Is it best to use only RO water or to mix both 50 RO water and 50 Conditioned tap water?

Just bought 5 gallons of RO water from my LFS. the TDS is 5 and will be doing a WC soon. Question: do i add solutions like prime or conditioner to the RO water? Also, just received my kit. and will be testing the water parameters after doing the WC.

so you just refill your tank after water changes with a purified water that does NOT use any dechlorinator?

the tds of my water from the fridge shows a tds of 120, Tap water tds of 170. but when i tried adding a dechlorinator on the water it'll show a tds of 270 something.

370 in the cornered part of the tank and 307 on the water area on top of the tank. Are water that is drinkable from the fridge Purified?

Just checked the TDS and it shows 370.. How do you lower the TDS? Sadly the test kid have been delayed and it should be arriving by tomorrow.

Have just ordered a TDS meter and its coming tomorrow. will be checking it as soon as i received them. What's the suitable TDS level tho? Lost my test kit but its coming tomorrow as well. This is what I'm afraid of but will be posting the results as soon as i tested them!

I got mine from Aquatic Arts as well. ordered a total of 30 shrimps and now i have only 8 left.. They molt perfectly I've seen lots of molts in the tank and some used to be berried. Are my water parameters good for shrimps?

I used the drip acclimation everytime i get new shrimps for about 2 hours.

I have a mixed neocaridina shrimp tank and day by day one would die slowly.. The tank have been cycled for 2 months before I introduced the shrimps. Here are my water parameters: KH 3/4 GH 4 Ph of 7.2 Tempt of 77.2 F Tested for copper and showed negative. Any suggestions or inputs to why the shrimps kept on dying?
