So i noticed i seem to have some fuzzy white stuff on the face of some of my red neos and im pretty sure its vorticella. theres only a tiny bit at the moment, so i think I caught it early. I plan to treat with safeguard (fenbendazole) rather than salt dips as I want to treat the whole tank vs individuals. the fenbendazole is only 22% in a 1g packet and everywhere i read that im supposed to use .1g per 10 gallons but im not sure if thats .1g of pure fenbendazole or of panacur/safeguard which is dilute fenbendazole. Regardless, i plan to do one packet in 100ml of water and dose 10ml of liquid meds into the 10g tank. after that ill watch for a day or two and if nothing changes do a second dose then wait two more days and water change. ive already done the first dose and so far 10 hours later there really is no change that I can see so it is making me feel like it was supposed to be .1g pure fenbendazole not .1g of the safeguard. does anyone have experience treating vorticella like this? id love to hear experiences/tips

I've been battling a pretty serious tubifex worm problem in a 10g aquascaped white cloud tank which I recently turned to an neon orange/yellow neo tank. They have infested a large portion of the gravel in the front of the tank and have become a major eyesore as well as a nuisance to regular feeding. I've been looking for a biological alternative to fenbendazole, since the tank has also become home to a large number of horned nerite and pink ramshorns. Removing all of them isn't really an option as I really have no where to keep them while I go through the water changes to ensure all the fenbendazole is out of the tank before returning them. What I mean by a "biological" alternative is an animal of some kind, either a shrimp, fish, or snail. I am not so worried about losing a few small shrimp or snails to predation, although it is obviously my goal to limit deaths in the tank. I have considered baby khuli loaches as they have small mouths and eat voraciously from the gravel, but I haven't picked any up yet. I am planning on trying them first, and soon, unless anyone has had experience this issue before and/or has any suggestions on handling this. Thank you!
