MinusInfinity
So I'm pretty much at my limit of how many tanks I could have set up. I just started to breed royal blue tigers and I noticed that there are some that should be cull out from the main stock. Hypothetically, as long as the parameters are stable, keep the tank aerated and I keep it clean, I should be able to keep shrimp in a 5g bucket right? I was planning on letting the bucket cycle and everything before I start dropping the culls in there. It's gonna be kept near the main tank in the basement so the temperature will be stable. Aquarium Creation
That should be fine. I do something similar, but I use one of those clear plastic bins that come with the lid as a cull tank. I drilled some holes through the lid so that I can run the sponge filter airline tubes through it and the shrimp do great in there.
ctaylor3737
Just sell your culls or take to the LFS. Mine go there or to my discus lolTaylor's Aquatics - Rare Plants & Invertshttp://www.taylorsaquatics.com
Dluxeshrimps
the aquarium is more just for the viewing of the keeper. I used buckets, tupperware, vase and cups. the possibilities are endless. as long as the container doesn't leach anything into the water. anything works.
