Auratus
Hello everyone! First I want to thank everyone for posting on this forum. I've learned so much just reading about your experience. Very helpful for a novice like me! Well, recently I found a yellow baby shrimp in my red cherry colony (my first tank). I waited a while expecting it to turn red but it stayed yellow. I've included a couple of pictures here. Reading on this forum, I see at least another member has seen this before, and it was postulated the yellow genes might have come from grandparents. He/she proceeded to isolate the yellow babies. I currently do not have separate space for this one baby- is it ok to keep this with the rest of my reds? I do have a yellow tank going but I don't want to introduce this yellow cherry with red genes to that colony. Comments are welcome!
