  1. Tank has been sold, Thank you everyone for the support! Hey everyone! It's a sad/exciting time right now. I will be moving overseas and start my new shrimp adventures! however this means that this is the end of my CRS adventures here in the OC.I'm looking to sell my entire setup with all my shrimp/snails/food/accessories. If you are interested please PM me, asking $450 O.B.O for everything. If interested in individual purchases please PM as well, will compile a list of things if I don't find anyone who wants everything. THANKS! This tank has been my one and only shrimp tank, and has been given my undivided attention. Everything in the tank is in excellent, clean, functioning condition and was purchased new. No signs of algae anywhere in the tank, no harmful pest outbreaks, no disease outbreaks, and never had a large die off of shrimp. I am currently using Salty Shrimp GH+ and feeding a combination of sample foods as well as MK-breed cheeseburger. If you decide to purchase my tank, you will also receive everything else I have that is shrimp keeping related, such as : assorted shrimp foods, SS GH+ remineralizer, 3D extendable shrimp net, aquascaping tweezers, algae scraper, Indian Almond Leaves, etc. P.S You can check out my other threads to see the progress of this tank with pics and videos! 2. LAST CALL FOR MY CRS! I have a few juvies left if anyone local would like some, I am planning on selling my entire tank (hardware, shrimp, plants, and all) because I am moving overseas soon. Anyone local who would like some please PM me!
  3. ALL SOLD! Thanks everyone for the support! Still have a ton of babies all over the tank, should have more available in a couple of weeks. If okay with smaller shrimp..(i.e 0.7 cm - 1 cm) I do have those available.
  4. MK Breed Cheeseburger

I bought mine locally at an LFS for 16.99, I know of two places that carry it, i'd call ahead though..Bobs Tropical Fish in Alhambra and Eminent Aquarium in Walnut. I was looking at https://www.aquariumcreation.com/ which I believe is run by one of the users on here. They have it for 15.99 but I'm not sure about shipping.

Awesome! Rosemary is also another easy plant for propagating!, basically any stem herb will propagate and grow easily
  7. Shrimpo-ponics

I built the frame from quarter inch plywood i got at home depot. The grow bed I bought a food grade plastic food service tray. The "Growbed" is basically an oversized overhead sump which i filled with hydroton clay pellets. I have photos in my post that show the setup. I also grow herbs and veggies aquaponically and hydroponically....so from my experience the easiest herbs to propagate into a system is definitely basil and mint. They are both just cut and plant, once the basil cutting is in the water, it will root in a couple of days. It also grows quite quickly. Are you providing light to the plants?

Thats super cool! I did a similar project last year Thought I'd share with you
  9. That was actually what taught me they are from Hong Kong! Hahaha then I did a little more research and found them! I should change my username to theShrimpstalker hahahha
  10. A trip to Hong Kong would definitely be worth it just to see the shrimp! Just don't forget all the good food and sightseeing! Hahaha
  11. Me too! I wish I had my GoPro, the shallow streams they were in were filled with leaf litter, in the shade etc and as you can imagine I just got pictures of dark puddles....hahaha
  12. Hi Everyone at TSS! So early this year I had the opportunity to travel to Hong Kong, the one thing I was super excited about? It's where Caridina Cantonensis comes from, or at least one of the few places that they are native to! Through some deep online research I found a place that is quite accessible to pedestrians if you guys ever happen to be in Hong Kong! The area is called Tai Tam, It is essentially a large water reservoir encompassed by a nature park with nice hiking trails. The hiking trails are paved so it is an easy walk. If hiking isn't your thing you gotta stop by Tung Choi Street or "Goldfish Street" there are a few specialty shrimp shops that have the most insane selections you've ever seen! The reservoir branches off into little estuaries and shallow streams, THE HABITAT OF THE SHRIMPS! I wasn't able to catch any photos of the shrimps in the shallow streams however, there is definitely an abundance of them! The ones that I could see had differing patterns of white/black striped, white/orange, clear/orange, clear/striped
  13. Still have some available! They've gotten bigger!
