Merth Posted February 6, 2014 Report Share Posted February 6, 2014 Light cycle is definitely too long without either ferts or co2 and lots of plants to use it all up. Most of us I think wage a constant war with algae especially that dang hair algae. Algae blooms basically occur due to an imbalance in one of those 3 nutrients. Fox690156 Posted February 10, 2014 Author Report Share Posted February 10, 2014 Got my new tank set up, with all the media, and decorations from my old tank, now in my new tank, added a nitrate remover, now my ammonia, nitrite, and nitrates are at 0, and my pH is at 7.6.
