As for a nice update the shrimp/fish room is doing better then expected. I have berried prl, yellow king kongs, tibees, michilings all in the sl aqua tanks. My inert tanks are doing great as well. The offspring from my berried blue dream female that was berried with bloody marry male came out very nice. A few reds and blues, a wild or 2 maybe chocolates, the rest however are solid black. I have the female berried again and I'm going to work on these solid black shrimps to see if I can't make a more stable black Rose line. I stopped setting up more tanks because I wasnt able to get enough water as it was. If I think I can add some more I've got 6 twenty gallon longs ready to go in the hallway. I have been debating setting up a rack with this soil vs my usual fall back of ADA. Have you had a chance to test it in other tanks to get a feel of the PH range it settles in after the long run? I'm trying to figure out what I should expect in life span of buffering & range of buffering. My ADA tanks after 1 year sit around 5.7-5.9 while my Contasoil with a 1 year is sitting at 5.9-6.1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I think I saw a picture of yours somewhere in the thread that shows tibees with Taiwan Bees in same tank. If I'm correct can you tell me, please, how do you know if a baby shrimp is a taitibee or a tibee? I've got a ton of babies and I have no idea what they are. In my tank I have (TTxCRS) and TB's.
