burp
Lol k. Acclimated for 2 over hours. Think the lfs kh very high. Ph 7.6 still remain same despite 100% of water added from tank. Not sure if I should throw in yet as my tank is 5.6.. Hmm Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
burp
One of the new shrimps is a juvenile white bee. Hope it will grow and breed with the crs. Heard it will improve the white colours on the crs. Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
Shrimpy Daddy
Where did you get the new shrimp from? The water specification is weird.
burp
I went two places today. Bought a batch from crs haven and the water was almost prefect. The 7.6ph batch is from seaview. Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
Shrimpy Daddy
By the way, to perform long dripping, a few things have to be consider or it will be stressful to shrimp. Also, if it is dripped too long, the water temperature may not be the same as your tank water. If the pH is different by 1.0 and TDS is different by 100, potentially you need to drip for a few days. In order to perform few days dripping, you will need to air-pump into the dripping container. Very troublesome....
Soothing Shrimp
"If the pH is different by 1.0 and TDS is different by 100, potentially you need to drip for a few days." I respectfully disagree. 1-2 drops per second for 1-2 hours is fine. Subtle has an affinity for links, so http://www.planetinverts.com/Acclimating%20New%20Shrimp.html , http://forum.shrimpnow.com/content.php/258-Acclimatising-Shrimp are just a couple. With such big differences have you been successful without any lost by performing 1 - 2hours drip? Especially from alkaline water to acidic water or 200 TDS to 100 TDS? Soothing Shrimp
Yes. This has worked well for me, however I'd like others to say what has worked well for them, too.
Shrimpy Daddy
Cool. You must have been getting very healthy shrimp. Just a curious question. You are getting your shrimp mostly from breeder instead of LFS?

If I got too worried about the parameters that much I would hate my tanks and wouldn't want them anymore. keeping shrimp is supposed to be fun and relaxing. IMO the more you mess with the parameters the worse off the shrimp Will be. My Shrimp breed like rabbits and I don't do half of this stuff. Not saying it's wrong but not so much is needed.-Chris Soothing Shrimp

Usually, I will put a drop of H2O2 in the container to sterlise the shrimp and water plus introduce more oxygen.
Sbarbee54
I drip for 10 min maybe 15 and it is not even a drip. More like fill half with the water they came in and half with the new water. Wait 10-15 and dump in new tank. Never had any deaths and my shrimp are like teenagers, chasing each other every chance they can get. On the ph stabilizing on the op tank, did it? Also did he get something better than a ph pen, they suck he needs a ph meter
