Diy filter1
My DIY Filter, It is actually a large spice bottle, that I got five for a dollar at the dollar store.
I drilled a hole in the bottom for the air line tube, and hooked up a dual air adapter. I
put the air line through the filter media, and filled it with K1.
I took off the top cap, and it has five hole already in the top for the spices to come out,
and so it keeps the K1 media moving and building bacteria. I have this in one of my
ten gallons to build bacteria for the new tank and help cycle it fast. I have a little too
much K1 in there. If I took a little out, it would move around better, but it seems to
cycle all of the K1 media from the top to the bottom.
