This is coming from the guy that would cull my entire rack.

Isn't that what the best hobbies capture?  An unattainable search for excellence?

Beat me by a long run! LOL  I've downsized to less than 30 tanks now due to moving out most of my neos!

These are relatively few and far between, but the very edge of the shell—where the new growth is—is fairly fragile to chipping and such. Every now and then, a snail will have that happen and as it grows there will usually be an indention or an odd layering on that part of the shell. I have very few that clearly have dents per se, but some that I can't tell whether it's an odd growth pattern or minor damage. I had one fellow who had a nice-sized dent, but for the life of me I cannot find it anymore! Maybe the growth has pushed it all the way to the substrate side of the shell where I can't see it...

And as for cracks, I don't really have any that have what I believe to be literal cracks, but that kind of patterning attributable to odd growth. There are a couple of young ones for whom the tip of the spire is very dinged up, though. This is the oldest part of the shell and they probably were bumped as babies when older ones fell on top of them. They can reinforce these from the inside, but the outside portion in that area will always be irregular.

Just found out about this site recently, so I am late with this feedback. I've had two orders of various Buces from Han a few months ago and everything was great. Extremely quick with shipping, communications, and well packed. On top of everything, very generous portions. I definitely recommend purchasing from Han.

I added some new members to one of my Sulawesi tanks yesterday. Who would have thought that snails have so much personality?

I will try to take a few extra pictures this weekend for you all but in my F1 Taitibee tank you would be so surprised of the different patterns. All of them are different! I have a picture here of a F1 Taitibee that looks to have a Zebra Pattern and another that is similar to the mom but better white coverage. I am currently setting up another tank purely to extend this project out. The cross from my Female Tibee above was with an Extreme BKK.

Thank you all for asking and keeping me positive through this long journey. It is your support that has kept me on this path to success.

The stands in the fish room are all done. Wish my filters would have come in the mail yesterday. Today I think I'm going to take a break from building but tomorrow I'll jump right back in. Need to get glass cut for the 75 gallon sump, need to cut woof and put together another grow bed for my pond, and of course set up the 42 tanks going into the fish room.

There was a time, long ago, when I thought I could spend my money wisely when it came to this hobby. That ended quite abruptly when I met Han. My shrimp eat better, get over infections quicker, and, shall I say, breed more often than I do thanks to Han.

Thanks for another perfect order, Han. My wallet weeps a little every time I write that, but I couldn't be happier.

Usually if you can get all the import paperwork filed with USFW the receiving airline will give you all the paperwork you need upon arrival to get it cleared through customs and tell you where to go if you don't know (if they are nice) Make sure you have copies of all the paperwork from the shipper ahead of time just to be sure.  They will send you over to the US customs office to have them look over the paperwork and get it stamped, you pay their fee, then you take all that paperwork back over to the receiving airline that has your shipment and they take their copies and you keep yours, then you pay them whatever they need and they give you your stuff.

You can clear shipments yourself without a broker if you don't mind driving around a bit to get it done. I did it all the time myself for imports of coldwater marine species from Japan, Australia, Portugal, etc. $100 import license, plus the declaration fee of like $87 (which you can pay and file online with their "edec" system) usually a small fee at customs ($7-10 for me with fish/anemones) the biggest cost is shipping usually.

Customs brokers are just middle men filing the paperwork to make a buck. It's totally doable on your own if you have the time
