  1. Hey guys! NTA here with a pretty good question. What is the best light (be specific pleeeeease) for a low tech 20 gallon tank. The tank doesnt come with a hood, filter, or light so I will get those, but what is a good light (with the proper spectrum/kelvin maybe) that I could use. If you could, links to the light would help me indefinitely! ;D See ya!
  2. Hi I'm looking to get into this hobby in the next month or so and I have done research on all the things I need but I'm stuck at lighting. What are some sleek looking lighting systems that are also good for shrimp? My first tank will be a 20 gallon long. Thank you, Cricket
  3. Hey Shrimpspot members! So I was thinking of setting up a three or four 10 gallon tanks in a rack so I could separate my PRLs and blue bolts based on their pattern/coloration to breed them more specifically. Is there a recommendation for a shrimp rack you guys have been using? Also I was thinking of updating my filters. As of now I've been using Fluval C3 filters w/ sponge filter at the end, but I was hoping to update to canisters. A lot of people have been recommending eheim, but I was wondering what other options I have. Same story with lighting, although this is less of a problem. Lastly, I've been hearing about increase in use of sump set ups, and most people who have been using it seems to recommend it. I had mixed feelings about this because of the possibility of infection in all the tanks, but from what I've been reading most people never had problem with this. What are your guys' thoughts on this? If I have a sump set up, would I be able to use a single powerful filter/heater for all 3-4 tanks? Also was there a post on how I could set this up? Thank you so much in advance!
  4. Hey all, We just got done with some PAR meter testing on the setups we have that contain bucephalandra. So for all those of you who have always wanted to keep some of these beautiful plants along with your shrimp tanks but worried about lighting, have no fear! Check the link here for our findings.
  5. We are proud to bring you guys a couple of premium LED lighting systems. We've been testing the E6+ at our own place since early April with really great results. The product feels really solidly built. From the packaging to the unit itself, this thing oozes quality. Although its a small unit, this thing is perfect for a Mini M or even a wabi kusa setup. We are currently testing the Cookie and we only have a handful of units to play with but the reception of this product in Europe and Asia has been great. The modular design is great for people who want to add that extra puck for even more intense lighting. We've seen this light do really well in a bunch of shops in Hong Kong though, including many ADA distributors who choose the Cookie over the Aquasky. LINK
