littlebirdie
Hope one of you can help! just check my bloody mary tank and saw a white patch on the side of one of my mature females. I dosed with ParaGuard but don't know if I should do a dip for the shrimp with the patch. I don't want my others to get this. I don't know what the best thing to do is. Any help would be appreciated. I will try to get a photo of her later.
littlebirdie
I can't find the affected shrimp but I did see that one of the females in the tank is berried...my first!! and I don't want to do anything to harm the babies. I will keep looking so I can take a photo but I don't know if I should take it out if I can find it or treat the whole tank. I don't have another cycled tank to put it in except one with very small fish like Celestial Pearl Danios and Pygmy Cories. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Soothing Shrimp
I'm wondering if the patch could be part of a bad molt. manticore
littlebirdie
Soothing...that's just what I thought after trying to find that blasted shrimp again! I am going to discontinue the ParaGuard unless you think I should keep on using it. I also added some Mosura Rich Water to up the tannins. This morning I dosed with Betaglucan as it was the day I do that anyway. Anything else you suggest? I am just so excited to have berried females and I want to make sure I do whatever is best supplement and feeding wise for them. What do you do, if anything, to make sure they get everything they need to keep the eggs?
Jadenlea
where does one get beta glucan? I read about it while researching my own tank of death. I see you can buy it on amazon, but is that it in pure form? I know alot of supplements add other things to them sometimes.

Soothing Shrimp
I have no experience with paraguard.
littlebirdie
I only gave one half of a dose and then, since I couldn't find the shrimp again, I figured it was a moult issue. There were several fresh ones floating around as I had just done the water change. They seem fine today so we will see. I am a little confused as to what to do as routine health maintenance with so many supplements around. It would be great if some of you experienced members would list what you use day to day.
