Will do! There are a few breeders in my area that have them, so acquiring more to up the striped percentage shouldn't be an issue.

Got my livestock! Put in some horned nerites a few days ago and they seem content. 20 yellow neos and 5 caridina babaulti. Lovin the babaulti, what shrimp. They definitely have a funny personality.

The neos will be left alone, for sure. The two malawa and the single zebra are females, so we shall see what happens. Rest are babaulti greens. Not sure whatnsort of interbreeding to expect, if any at all. Time will tell!

Updated!  I have some babaulti babies running around now, and some yellow neos about to pop. Look at all them babies!  Also got 4 thai micro crabs. Shy, but a nice addition to the tank. Don't mind the male cherry, he was only in there for a few minutes :P

Thanks! :)

It's really nice looking tank! Congrats on the babies!

I am very relieved that they survived. The fenbendazole didn't arrive in time (hydra were expanding quickly), so I ended up grabbing Genchem No Planaria. I dosed in smaller than directed amounts because I was nervous about killing the crabs. Worked like a charm!

Great to hear about the crabs surviving! What did you use?

Time for an update!

The plants are growing wonderfully, and so are the shrimp!  Sorry for the blurry first picture.  You may spot a couple cherry juvies in there, those are the test tube babies I hatched!  I need to rehome them soon.

There have been no signs of hydra since treating with No Planaria.  I added three large fan shrimps, man are they cool!  Also included some photos of plants:  Hygro Pinnatiffida, Lobeilia Cardinalis, Alternanthera Renikii Mini, and some Anubias Nana Petite.

The first batch of baby yellows neos is growing up fast. The babaulti babies are slower, but all there.

I wouldn't say it is a true one. These are sort of a mixed bag yellow neo. Some have the stripe on their back, some have just a solid yellow, and then there is that one! I have yet to decide what way I want to go with colour control.

In the first pic, is that a true rili yellow in front?

Ahhh I gotcha!  Nope, it is a yellow :o

Well, I mean true in the sense it is not a poorly colored orange rili. ;)
