Shrimple minded
Is there a consensus or does anyone want to give any opinions on what size ADA Aquasoil Amazonia has given the best results in shrimp tanks? -Normal only? -Powder only? -Combination of both? evabug1
I'd suggest just the normal size. Powder will just be messy IMO.
cindygao0217
Yes agree I saw the power before in bag it look smaller than sand, plus way too messy
Fishprinceofca
I like the size of AS Amazonia Powder, as it offers a cleaner look and finish to a planted shrimp tank. My shrimp don't seem to prefer Normal type or Powder, but my dwarf hairgrass is filling in well with the Powder. I used ADA Power Sand-S, a layer of Normal type, then Powder on top. I left a bit of space at the front of the glass when adding the Power Sand and Normal, so I could fill it in with the Powder. If I could do it over, I would just do Powder type and skip the Normal type, as I've noticed some of the Normal type surfacing through the top Powder layer.
