jumpsmasher
I thought a few ppl already acquired some of their e-line shrimps in the states. Or was that just a one time deal?

It was through ShrimpUSA, Bob was her dealer at that time.

jumpsmasher
hmm.. kinda disappointed that the E1 / E2 / E3 designation seems like it is based on pattern. Does she have a different grading system for quality?
EricM
hmm.. kinda disappointed that the E1 / E2 / E3 designation seems like it is based on pattern. Does she have a different grading system for quality? its based on WAY more than pattern. Competition Grade is her highest line. then goes down from there. Grade: E1 Description: Thick coloration, red legs coverage 50% to 70% Size: 1~1.2cm Grade: E2 Description: Thick coloration, red legs slight to less then 40% coverage Size: 1~1.2cm Grade: E3 Description: Good coloration, banded, V bands and Tiger Tooth Size: 1~1.2cm Grade: E4 Description: Color is thin, V bands, bands and Tiger Tooth Size: 1~1.2cm evabug1, JamesHe and Soothing Shrimp

JamesHe
That is good to know you can get an E1 hiro / no-entry than; Joe's facebook page seems to indicate E1 = mosura, E2 = hiro and E3 - mixed band I believe E-3 is (V, Tigertooth, Bands), E-2 is Hino and E-1 is Mosura. but don't stop there, E-1 has higher coverage of red leg, thick shell, solid white, deep red. etc. in each category, higher grade one is better than lower grade one. Actually, I believe Ellen is very willing to sell you E-1 hino for the same price as E-1 Mosura. simply because the later has higher market value. jumpsmasher
The red leg thing is interesting because I found in my limited experience with PRL that if the red in the head continues down to the leg the more likely you will have more red in the legs (vs. white). I found with my mosura ones that if hte red fromt eh head does not reach the legs, most of the time you will have more white in legs. But i guess that is something that can be solved with selective breeding and if they are the higher grade (E-1) and for the price i guess the expectation would be they would have good red leg coverage regardless of the pattern.
