mbenjamin16
HI, Does anybody in NY have any spixi snails for sale? Or does anybody have any rabbit snails for sale? I need a snail that isnt to expensive that will help control my ramshorn and pond snail population. Thank You,

Aennedry
Spixi or assassin snails would cut down on the present snail population. Feeding less would cut down on future problems. Rabbits are cool, but peaceful and will not do much to control other snails. mbenjamin16
mbenjamin16
Guess i should get a betta to feed snails to lol. but set it up in a different tank.
chibikaie
Rabbit snails also need a temperature of at least 80 F. They are slow to find food, so you almost have to feed extra to make sure they get their share. Trying to keep my two in good health has turned into a ramshorn and pond snail-apalooza. Snails like leaf litter. If you have a lot, they're probably eating quite well.
mbenjamin16
I've got rid of a bunch of snails to my sister for her turtle and I started with just leopard spotted ramshorns and now have red and might have a few pinks. Oceangirl
Spixi snails are illegal to ship across state lines and are illegal in certain states. Make sure its okay for you to have them. Soothing Shrimp

Oceangirl
I just know they are illegal to cross state lines, because a while back I tried to get some. They are really, really eat everything. Each other included. I would search locally, Sometimes you can find state specific forums. I know the planted tank has state by state section. Might worth a try. mbenjamin16
