Lyana
So I got one of the cheap plastic float valves and it worked for about a dozen times and then it failed somehow and flooded my basement. What the hell? Can someone suggest a better more reliable one? My husband is not happy. Edwardnah
Loumeer
What is this for? Tanks? RODI system?
Lyana
Haha, guess that would help. It's for an rodi system.

DETAquarium
I buy all of my RODI unit products and accessories from www.aquariumwaterfilters.com Great people!
Loumeer
Easy. Dont rely on a float valve for your rodi system. I like to let it run until the float vavle is triggered. I make an alarm when I think it will finish (x hours or so). Then I just use this http://www.amazon.com/Speedfit-PPSV040808WP-4-Inch-Valve-Start/dp/B003YKF2E2/ref=pd_rhf_se_s_cp_2?ie=UTF8&refRID=08GXP9KHWHS8HBDABT1Ato make sure the flow is stopped. When I want to refill the container I just release the ball valve.
Lukeo85
Are you also using an auto shut off with that float valve? It looks something like this. http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/1-4-auto-shut-off-valve.html. Just the use of a float will not work the pressure is to high for it. Lyana
Yeah, I have the auto shut off. Does it matter how it's put on? The company installed it so could it be backwards? I do have a ball valve that I turn off when not in use, but I don't always remember to turn it off in time.
