So I have these little speck sized bugs in my tank.  I thought they were water fleas. About .5 mm.  So I took them to my sisters lab and photographed them.  They don't look like water fleas.  Now I'm scared.

Any idea's on what the heck these things are?

Probably a species of ostracod/seed shrimp. They are completely harmless and serve as both a cleanup crew and as live fish food. I first found them while raising triops, and I think they're really cute!

They have a pretty distinct way of moving, too. Look up some videos on Youtube to see if that's what you have.
