TomCruise
So I have these little speck sized bugs in my tank. I thought they were water fleas. About .5 mm. So I took them to my sisters lab and photographed them. They don't look like water fleas. Now I'm scared. Any idea's on what the heck these things are? corbie
Probably a species of ostracod/seed shrimp. They are completely harmless and serve as both a cleanup crew and as live fish food. I first found them while raising triops, and I think they're really cute! They have a pretty distinct way of moving, too. Look up some videos on Youtube to see if that's what you have.
TomCruise
That is exactly it. Thanks! How big do you suppose they will get?
