Jadenlea Posted September 19, 2015 Report Posted September 19, 2015 How many darn days does it take to water log it? Ive had it soaking in a tub of water for 2 days and its still happily floating. It is to late now, but for future reference, would it have done anything helpful to add bactar ae to the soaking water so it could start growing biofilm while it is just sitting there. Wygglz Posted September 19, 2015 Report Posted September 19, 2015 I've had them take a week sometimes depending on the size. Quote
Steve R. Posted September 19, 2015 Report Posted September 19, 2015 It is helping if you can submerse it with a weight (stones etc.). It took 3-4 days for me for big pieces. Quote
dr0p Posted September 19, 2015 Report Posted September 19, 2015 It takes a while, mine was the better part of a week or so. Adding weight to keep it submerged helps a lot. Quote
Jadenlea Posted September 19, 2015 Author Report Posted September 19, 2015 Ill add weight. thanks Quote
DETAquarium Posted September 21, 2015 Report Posted September 21, 2015 Manzanita Branches I usually soak for two weeks. Quote
mayphly Posted September 21, 2015 Report Posted September 21, 2015 With manzanita i give it a good scrub after soaking it. It helps remove any remaining bark which can end up deteriorating and dirty the water. Quote
Jadenlea Posted September 21, 2015 Author Report Posted September 21, 2015 Ill do that Andy. its been quite a few days and still floats LOL Quote
