Can anyone suggest a blue and white species that will not interbreed, and can live in moderate hard and alkaline water?

I love Snow White Bees, but it looks like they need softer water. Snowballs are a good white shrimp, but they really look more clear then white to me.

Thanks!

There really aren't any "white" shrimp that will live in hard water. Any neo will have a clear color other than painted cherry shrimp, so the closest would be a snowball. Also two neocaridina shrimp will interbreed. To truly have white and blue you would need a snow white or golden bee shrimp "softwater" and a blue neo variety in acidic soft water.

OK these are not white or blue but are blue with white stripes, sometimes they can be brown with white stripes, but they do manage to live in higher PH water.    Blue Bee Shrimps.

Ive kept them before and they are very attractive but smaller than most CRS.  They look like little blue/white

tigers.

You are looking for two separate shrimp if I understand correctly, a pure white shrimp and a pure blue shrimp,  not a single shrimp species that is both blue and white on one shrimp, correct?

The neocaridinias are more forgiving about water params, so you could try getting something like cryal whites or golden bees, and catering your water params to them, and add in any of the blue neos.

The neos may not breed well in the caridina water specs, but if you just want this mix for looks and not breeding, they'll all live there and wont interbreed.
