Nuthatch Posted September 23, 2015 Report Posted September 23, 2015 I just spotted a tiny black worm on my 9 gallon tank. It was wider at the front than at the rear. Of course it was in the back corner, under the hanging filter, and almost impossible to even try to catch. Does anyone know what it might be? All I can add is that I bought new shrimp 2-3 days ago. 1 died the second day, another died the day after. Oh, and the tank is HEAVILY planted. Dwayneseno 1 Quote
DETAquarium Posted September 23, 2015 Report Posted September 23, 2015 Picture? If at all possible will help tremendously with identifying. Quote
Nuthatch Posted September 23, 2015 Author Report Posted September 23, 2015 Sorry, but it scooched to the other side of a rock before I could do anything. I also noticed a white planaria-type worm while I was looking for the black one. Quote
Nuthatch Posted September 23, 2015 Author Report Posted September 23, 2015 Is it the kind of thing I can hope to suck up during a water change? Or do I have bigger problems? And how could I have gotten a leech? The newest thing in the tank are the 6 (now 4, maybe) rili shrimp. Quote
Soothing Shrimp Posted September 24, 2015 Report Posted September 24, 2015 how long have you had your tank set up? Quote
Nuthatch Posted September 24, 2015 Author Report Posted September 24, 2015 It has been up since January. Quote
Soothing Shrimp Posted September 25, 2015 Report Posted September 25, 2015 Could it have ridden in on some plants and you just have not noticed it until now? Sounds as if it had some time to grow. Quote
