airriick Posted October 4, 2015 Report Posted October 4, 2015 Hey all. Getting back into the hobby. I'm planning on a dsm hc 12 gal long. Then adding in my TBs later on. I was curious has anyone dosed potassium / excel / flourish or used co2 with their TBs? I'll be using a finnex 24/7 and eheim 2213 Quote
d0pey Posted October 5, 2015 Report Posted October 5, 2015 Ferts and shrimps don't go well together.. However, I know SL-AQUA does carry a "shrimp-safe" but I cannot vouch for it as I haven't tried it.. Quote
DETAquarium Posted October 5, 2015 Report Posted October 5, 2015 Have you kept Taiwan Bees previously? Also, have you kept shrimp in a high-tech planted tank before? Balance is essential. Quote
airriick Posted October 5, 2015 Author Report Posted October 5, 2015 Yes I've kept TBs for 3 years now in same tank. (ADA60P) I use to have them with co2 but I fell out of the hobby and removed it. For some reason they're my miracle shrimp, they live in 4 inches of water in a 60p... I only top it off till it's an inch over my filter. I get lazy sometimes.. Quote
DETAquarium Posted October 6, 2015 Report Posted October 6, 2015 If you have done it before successfully, I don't see why anything would be different. Give it a shot, I certainly wouldn't recommend mixing a high-tech tank and Taiwan bees for your everyday keeper. Quote
