lowering ph safely

Recommended Posts

I want to start keeping low grade CRS in my RCS tank but the PH is 7.6-8 (hard to distinguish between those shades of brown) I've just rigged up a peat moss filter and after two passes I've got it down to 6.6 ph. I'm gonna test for ammonia and all that good stuff to make sure its not gonna kill everything but what would be a safe amount to put in at a time? Its a 20 gallon and I'm hoping to get it to 6.8-7.2. Also do i need to remineralize the filtered water? Thanks

Best results you'll ever have is invest in ADA soil to lower Ph. I've tried and tested all methods. Nothing works like it, ph will drop to 5.5-6 and stay stable
