sarah Posted November 5, 2015 Report Posted November 5, 2015 I've had two 6" pieces of cholla (1 regular, 1 teddy bear) in my tank for about a month. Both have started developing areas with raised black spots. They were soaked/boiled really well before adding to my tank. Has anyone had this happen before? Quote

jem_xxiii Posted November 5, 2015 Report Posted November 5, 2015 could it be the pores in the wood? sarah 1 Quote
sarah Posted November 6, 2015 Author Report Posted November 6, 2015 happens to all of mine, not an issue. Good to hear! could it be the pores in the wood? Maybe, but it is only in a few patches, not all over the wood. could be algae Maybe. I will try to get a photo. Quote

maylee Posted November 6, 2015 Report Posted November 6, 2015 I have that happening in one of my two tanks. I don't know if it makes a difference but the pieces of cholla wood that don't have the black dots are thicker than the ones that do. sarah 1 Quote
