sarah Posted November 12, 2015 Report Posted November 12, 2015 I use Han's purple bee pollen. It does disintegrate into powder slowly in the tank, but the shrimp eat it all before it has a chance to foul the water. I only feed a few granules at a time as a healthy treat, not a main staple food. Soothing Shrimp and h4n 2 Quote
kaydoubleyou Posted November 12, 2015 Report Posted November 12, 2015 I recently realised bee pollen is amazing fish/shrimp food lol I have bags of it in the fridge from the local bee farmer. Today i fed it to Cotton, our Betta who is stressed and sick with ich. He loved it thank goodness. The ghost shrimp fight like dogs over it and the Panda Cory's sniff like crazy for it. It tends to "melt" a bit after slowly sinking but the fish/shrimp smell it right away and eat it so fast it doesn't have a chance to really muddy the substrate or water. Cant say the RCS's like it too much they just chill and munch their moss for now. Sent from my LG-D852 using Tapatalk Quote
Shrimpmaster Posted November 12, 2015 Report Posted November 12, 2015 They love it, but I don't feed it too much. Not sure if all these 'sugar' is good for the shrimp. But i mix a little of it through the main food. Quote
Jadenlea Posted November 12, 2015 Report Posted November 12, 2015 My shrimp go crazy for Hans purple bee pollen but I don't feed it very often. To many other foods here to play with ! Soothing Shrimp and h4n 2 Quote
