gcorona301 Posted November 24, 2015 Report Posted November 24, 2015 My tap water is KH-10 GH-196.6ppm / 11 TDS-245 is it good for Painted red cherry shrimps and allow them to breed ? Quote
gillznglass Posted November 27, 2015 Report Posted November 27, 2015 Depends on what is making the tds. Maybe test for copper and other metals. Good tap water is OK and some can be ideal by chance. But if it was me I would want a lab test sent in to the state to check for other contamination. And at times cities shock the system with chlorine or chloramines at random so prime is a must. Quote
Citycode01 Posted November 27, 2015 Report Posted November 27, 2015 I would change it to Kh 2-3 that would work better for neos from my exp, GH around 8-9, should make your ph at around 6,9-7 with some small amount of humic acid that would be Ideal, you can drop few tigers then to let them breed as well. But the end of the story would be asking you to switch to RO water and make it yourself gillznglass 1 Quote
