Mr. F Posted August 17, 2016 Report Share Posted August 17, 2016 I bought some Salvinia Cucullata around a week and a half ago and they are looking great, I'm hoping to replace most of my duckweed with them cause I'm hoping they will grow slower and they also look much nicer. Thanks a lot Green! Also duckweed for scale. You shoulda gotten rid of the duckweed first! It grows so fast it might choke out your salvinia! Revaria Posted August 18, 2016 Report Share Posted August 18, 2016 Oh I culled roughly half of what I had before putting the salvinia in, the duckweed is just pretty established so they grew back sorta faster than expected. And I'm afraid to remove too much in case the duckweed or salvinaia don't grow fast enough and the black beard algae, thread algae or cyanobacteria manage to get ahold of the tank again.
