ShrimpP
What's the cull rate been? Appears your strain is developed from yellows.
Shrimp Life
THe cull rate is extremely low for green jades which is a huge advantage. 1 out of every 30-40 shrimp is either orange or very light green (too light for me to keep as a green jade so its a cull) I rarely have to pull out culls as they are all very green. Also, you mention that they maycome from yellows but since they are throwing the occasional orange I believe they came from oranges. ShrimpP
There are two common strains of Green Neos. Both of which are just random occurring mutations. The more popular green stain come from Orange Neos. Which I believe most Green Jade strains come from. But there is also Yellow Neos that throw out Greens too. With Neocaridina, you more so rely on random mutations, unlike Caridina where you can cross them for more desired patterns. Crossing different strain Neos often results in wild type looking shrimp. If dazalea's strain throws out some orange, then they are definitely from a orange lineage. I just assumed yellow since one of the shrimp looked yellow green, but I'm wrong. Shrimp Life
Yes a few are pale green with a yellowish hue so I know why you assumed it came from yellow. Those shrimp I normally cull out, its usually only a few males I find that look yellowish green and I consider them culls as they are not as nice green as the others...
