Acorn
Hi All, So I have had my tank for about 8 months now. Its stocked with shrimp, 1 x Hillstream Loach, 8 x Snail (Zebra & Apple) and 2 x Platys. Everything has been fine though unintentional both the shrimp and snails are breeding well, but I have suddenly have had an influx of worm like things. There was a couple at the start but now there are hundreds. I am thinking that they are Planaria but I am not sure. My tank size 65l. My filter is a Fluval U2. Its a cold water tank, no real plants. I was feeding them a large pinch of fish flakes in the morning with six Shrimp & Snail pellets and a small pinch of fish flakes at night. I have tried water changes and reducing the amount of food but instead of it getting better its getting worse. I have read about Genchem No Planaria but am unsure if everything will be OK in my tank if I use it. I know it can kill snails which has me worried. I can remove the snails to another tanks if need be while dosing. Any help would be great or if there's any other product I can use please let me know. 35ppt
I believe you have rhabdocoela worms, which are not harmful. Altho, kinda unsightly.
