Soothing Shrimp
Figuring out Blue Wizard dosage.... Okay, 10ml per 100L = 1gh (according to the bottle) so 1ml per 10L = 1gh 10L = 2.6 gallons So 1ml per 2.6 gallons = 1gh Is my math correct? Soothing Shrimp
Just read 1 pump per gallon = ~5gh EricM
Nubster
Yeah...it's on the DiscoBee site that one pump is 5 GH per gallon. Not sure how much one pump is though...might be worth measuring and then using a more precise measurement method each time rather than just a pump which I'd imagine can administer inconsistent amounts each pump. Nubster
I just did mine...looks like a pump is about .75ml of liquid. Soothing Shrimp
EricM
I agree. better to use a more precise measurement since a pump can vary slightly.. a single full pump should be between 1-2ml. Soothing Shrimp
Nubster
My pump isn't putting out that much. I primed it by doing a bunch of pumps into a cup and then a single pump into another cup and measured with a syringe and got .75ml. Then I did 5 pumps into a cup and got 4ml of liquid divided by 5 gave me .8. So I guess best thing is to measure and test GH per measurement and figure out from there. Do like 1ml in a gallon and check the GH and TDS and figure out where to go from there. EricM
EricM
Our technique for dosing BlueWizard. When doing a water change we dose directly into the tank, no premixing in jugs and hoping all the dry particles break down. We wait for the water to refill about most the way then we measure via TDS readings. We add a few pumps, wait a few mins for it circulate within the tank and stable TDS. then keep adding till we get to the TDS we desire.
