Priscilla
Hi all!I just bought a filter and I found that there is charcoal in it. Should i remove the charcoal when I'm running it for my brackish tank?
Nubster
I would. For any tank. Keep it and use it in cases when you use meds and need to remove the meds after treatment is over or in case there's an accident and something gets in the water that shouldn't be in there. Otherwise...I wouldn't use it. It can also remove things you do want in the water like fertilizers and some say trace minerals and stuff like that.
