Nikolaus777
You want to find a soil that leeches little to no ammonia, a shrimp specific, water buffering soil such as : https://www.discobee.com/collections/sl-aqua/products/sl-aqua-nature-soil Do you know what your water parameters were/are when the shrimplets died? Shrimple minded
You can very successfully keep and breed Caridina shrimp using Controsoil. I have multiple tanks that are over 2+ years and the soil still buffers to excellent ranges. nthungryan1

Mike16T
I have a shrimp tank with controsoil. I have Cardinas in the tank. It doesn't leech any ammonia at and it is good for plants and 100% safe for shrimps. nthungryan1

I do use Bacter AE (dose lightly) 1-2x per week. I used to use BT-9 but have dropped it from regular rotation. nthungryan1
Triton
I just finished the cycle on a tank with Controsoil, the only additives I used were MK silver powder and Mk blood diamond nthungryan1
