Zima
Hi! I have an automatic feeder for main tank (180L) for Amano shrimps and fish, but i can't use it with shrimp tank (30L) cos the food powder for shrimplets (Mosura Shrimpton), cannot be dosed properly. I'm looking for any good soluton(s) to feed PRL shrimps and srimplets in my 30L tank, at holiday time (10-12 days) with special food for shrimplets. I would appreciate it if somebody have solution for this situation.
EricM
i'd add a couple different types of leaves. catappa, guava, etc. they should be fine for that amount of time without feeding. you can add a snowflake also on the day you leave. that will last 3-4 days of picking on it. chappy6107, Zima and Shrimporama

Do you mean - Sl-Aqua Snowflake? Unfortunatelly, i can't find possbilities to buy it from my country. If you can provide me with some information about where i can buy it with delivery to my country, it would be greatly appreciated. My feeding plan now Monday: Ebi Dama + Mosura ShrimptonTuesday: Mosura Shrimpton + Glassgarten BabyWednesday: Ebi Dama + Mosura ShrimptonThursday: Mosura Shrimpton + Glassgarten BabyFriday: Ebi Dama Special + Mosura ShrimptonSaturday: Glassgarten BabySunday: Ebita Breed Spinach Tab + Mosura Shrimpton/Glassgarten Baby Is it possible to use some Oak Leaves + Catappa Leaves + Black Alder cones (dennerle) + Ebi Dama pads? What you think, about using any automatic feeder as option?
EricM
that seems like a lot of food. do you have a huge colony? i'm sure there are other brands that have a snowflake available to you.
Zima
No, the colony is small - 12 PRL + 3-5 new shrimplets (just established 1 month ago). I'm dosing very small amount of food for shrimplets 2 times per day - one matchhead per time for powder food. And i'm riping apart Ebi Dama pads into four parts and dosing only 1/4 for a whole day according to feeding plan. Unfortunatelly, i can't find anything from GlassGarten, Shirakura and Mosura like the SL-Aqua Snowflakes for using as holiday food.
chappy6107
if you can not find the snowflake foods from any of your suppliers in Moscow, I would just use a few full sized leaves. the small amount of shrimp in your colony will do just fine with leaves for a couple weeks. nicpapa
For those shrimp there is no need for food... just light... There is no holiday food.. u can add some mulbery leaves, it can take 4-5 days for those shrimp... Its beter dont overfeed ,when u leave. just leave them without food. JonRon
Isn't this so called snowflake Food. Soybeans? By soaking soybeans over night, a day or two. you are able to remove the outer Shell. Using the outer Shell in tiny pieces, when put into the water Looks like snowflakes. If I am wrong will someone correct me please.
Zima
I'm bought Dennerle Snow Pops and try to use it. Unfortunately the snow pops disappear after 1.5 day. But my Atya Gabonensis and Amano in other tank like it. I'll want to try a mix of different leaves as holiday food. The outer shell from soybeans will be next option...
