DETAquarium
Ohko stones are Inert and aren't supposed to effect water chemistry at all. I used these stones for quite a long time simply for that reason.
Shrimpy Daddy
Ohko stone or dragon stone is fossilised palm wood (the signature holes of the rock are the water carry channel of palm stem). Even though they are chemical inert, they are just like any mineral rocks that will leech minerals into the water column in the first couple of months. Depending on the fossilisation process, different minerals will be leeched out. But for sure, you will get a lot of silicate at the beginning. Which is one of the key ingredients to induce diatom bloom. To lessen the leeching process, usually I will prep them before hand.
