After reading about someone else's amano hatching eggs, and seeing what they look like I was surprised to discover a berried Amano today. Looks like a clump of dirt under the tail.
Not sure how far along she is, but I have decided to try rearing some larvae. I have some extra lava rock and I can make a quick quarantine tank next water change for the brackish larvae tank and keep the female with the same water in a fine mesh hatchery like this: https://premiumaquatics.com/products/lees-net-breeder-small-fine.html?gclid=Cj0KEQjw4J-6BRD3h_KIoqijwvkBEiQAfcPiBRG0J8t92n8c_gffN4fP8RRIVvTBqKcBLFWyiH3GFHsaAjTh8P8HAQ
