  1. I did have Java moss that brought in Planaria into my tank it had the triangle head. but this was before I brought any shrimp, so I discarded the water and boiled the soil and gave the plants a quick rinse i saw the boiled bodies of the planaria (just turned into round gooey balls) flushed them down the sink im guessing they may have survived in the plant still? When I re-setup tbis is time I got shrimp in the tank
  2. Just discovered a white worm going down my tank glass! (Thought it was milk running down) hard to tell if it is detritus or planaria?? it looked 1 and half cm long moved quick! Saw a very tiny white worm version as well I haven’t over feed my tank, added one tiny algae wafer but shrimp never ate it, lots of algae growth in tank how can I diagnose what worm this is?? are they harmful? Will I need to strip tank down?
  3. Great thanks! I thought dream blue i will purchase these :)!
  4. I am looking for the brightest/solid blue cherry shrimp anyone know which fits closest?
  5. Got some OEBT My temperature was 25C (77F) before adding the shrimp, lucky enough for me ‘wyzazz’ recommended cooler temperature as they prefer cooler water Successfully drip accumulated them for 4 hours Ive turned my heater down to the minimum on my heater which is 20C (68F) but my temperature remains at 22C (71.6F) Think our home is keeping the temperature this high, anyway to make the water cooler? Or is 22C (71.6F) ok? they are always hiding when I turn the light on lol I built too many caves
  6. Would these be ok to mix? Royal Blue tiger orange eye with black tiger orange eye? or would they cause wild births?
  7. Using RO water with Blue wizard, need water change, do I add Blue Wizard again? I have a 22 litre tank with RO water I am currently cycling my tank, was using a plant fertiliser and it says to add every week but recommend 25% water change if I take out 25% water do I have to add 25% Blue Wizard? (It was roughly 5 pumps to my 22 litre, so if I removed a quarter water, do I add RO water with 1 pump of Blue Wizard?)
  8. Oh noooo! They are my favourite two! Lol I stick with the Orange eye tiger for now and maybe get a new tank for bolt blue and just keep each tank pure
  9. Can I mix these 3 breeds in the same tank? Or will they interbreed and cause the wild grey shrimp 22 litre tank OR water blue wizard added ph 6.8
  10. How much to a litre? (How many pumps to a litre) My instructions are in a different language My water is RO My 8 litre tank test results are NO3 - 0 NO2 - 0 GH - between 8od - 16od KH - 6od pH - 7 My 30 litre tank test NO3 - 0 NO2 - 0 GH - 4od KH - 6od pH - 6.8 - 7
  11. Excellent! thanks everyone for the replies really appreciated my friend said pure RO would been fine but he does discus fish not shrimp! So glad you guys mentioned this otherwise would been more shrimp deaths and I been devastated. I will order some mineraliser today, I will go for the liquid version as it looks easier to use and maintain ????
  12. New to RO and read somewhere that you must re add minerals is this true? also if it is true what do I add?
  13. Got myself a RO unit, gonna start weekend and go from there ? Light is now higher up, everything will be boiled and treated in ta is from now on
  14. Omg you are right I lowered my light to almost touching near water for 8+hours I had no idea what I've done wrong till you mentioned that, the light can go almost 5+ inches higher, I think my plants are too much I will keep the planted bogwood at most with moss and simplify it. Thanks for the brands for subtrate and water conditions really appricate it I give the peroxide ago once I got a new temporary setup for my remaining shrimp thanks again for the information
  15. Thanks for this, your comment been helpful will try switch water asap when I can evac my last remaining shrimp into a temp stay
