  1. Hi shrimpers, I received some plants a little while back and didn't think to quarantine them. Well unfortunately I now have Pond Snails, Planaria and Hydra in my mixeed Taiwan Bee/TiBee/Tiger tank. Why someone would give plants to another shrimper knowing that they have all of these pests in their tanks is beyond me. I have some "No Planaria" and wanted to know if anyone has used this product lately? My tank is a Fluval Spec V, so approximately 5 gallons. The tank contains Adults (some berried), juveniles and babies. I am worried about the younger shrimp and the berried females but I just saw a hydra floating in the water column so who knows how many are in their now. The other day I saw them in my filter chamber as well. I have read some of the posts on here about "No Planaria" but was looking for some more recent information. I have also read about fenbendazole but don't like the idea that it can stick around in the tank if it gets into the soil. Which I have (ADA). I heard that "No Planaria" is natural and will break down in a few days after use. Thankng you in advance!
  2. Are these planaria? I took a picture of a longer one to get a better look. If it is Planaria, what are some good ways to nip these things at the bud? And on a side note what gender is this shrimp?
  3. Do these look like planaria? Tank is about two months old. Couple weeks ago had a hydra outbreak in this and another tank, treated with panacur and all hyrdra are gone. Then these guys show up. They do not have the typical triangle shaped head, but they also don't look like other detritus worms I've seen. Halp.
  4. I have a PRL tank with many tiny babies (as tiny as 2mm). I have a case of planaria and want to use the product No Planaria. The label says it won't harm shrimps, but I'm still worried as the babies are really tiny. Is No Planaria safe to use under such conditions? Thanks.
  5. Pretty interesting video. First the narrator talks about Hydra, then Planaria, and also Molting issues for lobsters.. I've pretty much encounter all three issues in my shrimp tanks.
  6. From the album: Products

Came across a thread in the forum about a month ago or so and was reminded of the fear I felt when I saw my first planaria in a tank. After discovering the high price attached to the glass style designed catches, I searched the web and found this for $8 dollars, price included shipping cost ^^ Got this to be safe, just in case I get some weird kind of outbreak of planaria, i got this on the ready =) *Made from acrylic, both ends pop off, and has an o ring on the cap to keep it snug when inserted back in.
