I was looking at a 3 stage which was suggested by a LFS and then to went to another LFS and seen a 4 stage aquatic life brand unit. chappy6107 Posted August 1, 2018 Report Share Posted August 1, 2018 +1 for the bulk reef supply units. Lots of saltwater tank keepers use these. I diy'ed my own and bought the media from bulk reef supply. ro membrane & carbon & di resin have lasted me for coming up on 3 years. water out of my tap is ~300+ tds and ph ~7.6-7.8 varies throughout the year.
