Eekho
Hello! I am very new to the shrimp community. I set up a 10 gallon planted tank about 3 weeks ago with the intention of housing RCS. I used RO water and demineralization it. I checked my parameters today and they are: Gh- 180 ppm Kh-40 ppm Ph-6.50 Tds-175ppm Ammo-0.50ppm Nitrates- 0ppm Nitrites-0ppm I am worried about the lack of nitrates and the rise in ammonia. Is this normal for starting a cycle? Any and all suggestion would be appreciated.
Alexandra
Yes it is normal. That's why it's wise to be patient. I get more ideas running in my head when I'm waiting for the tank to cycle.
