maylee
Sorry if this should be obvious. But when drip acclimating new shrimp, you obviously lose that volume of water in the tank. Once acclimation is done, do you immediately drip water back in to get it back to regular water levels? And if you do, do you use plain RO or remineralized RO? Chiumanfu
When you drip acclimate, you should never add that water back to the tank. The water that the shrimp were shipped in could have unwanted parasites or disease. After your drip is over, net the shrimp into the tank and trash the water. You would add remineralized RO to get the tank level back up. The only time you use plain RO is for evaporation top off. maylee
maylee
Thanks. So it's almost like a mini water change. Don't know why that didn't click in my mind. Amyers22
