repsaJ
Are there any problems breeding shrimp in heavily carpeted aquariums with dense plants like Dwarf Hairgrass? From what I've seen, breeders generally have tanks where shrimp can easily forage on the substrate. This is supposed to be crucial for young shrimp, but this is completely prevented by carpeting plants. Any insight on this would be appreciated. Lyana
My babies are always in my moss eating, I rarely see them on the substrate. Plants grow biofilm and stuff that they like. My adults eat off the substrate though. For neos I wouldn't worry, they're pretty hardy. If we're talking about cystrals then wait for someone that knows more about them to answer lol. repsaJ
Shrimp lover
Yeah, all of my shrimp LOVE to graze in my foreground plants! They hide under the leaves and eat the biofilm and stuff!
