Shrimp safe?

I recently ordered some iron enriched clay balls from HAN aquatics! I didn't really think about it until after I bought them. I asked HAN if they were safe and he isn't sure! Does anyone know if iron enriched clay balls are safe for neos? BTW, I would put them under my substrate for my plants! {not my photo}
