d0pey
My shrimps are no longer interested in it and it's looking real nasty. It keeps coming back!! Edwardnah, JosephKex and MableBile
Greenteam
That looks like a newly setup tank with diatoms. It goes away naturally or another way to speed up the process is flow. If you get more water moving with an airstone or adjusting filters HOB/Canister to better improve the water flow.
d0pey
Tank is about 4-5 months old.. Still suffering from diatom yes. But what are these strange fluffy stuff growing all over my driftwood? I have a sponge filter/airstone/2213 running in this tank :/
GDT78
Looks like fungus growing on the new wood due to the natural sugars inside the wood which is still busy leaching out for a while. A shoal of ottos took care of it in my tank.

DETAquarium
Unless it is solely unsightly to you, I would leave it. When I had driftwood and/or cholla wood it would produce the same, in time it will disappear You can always siphon it out..
